🏛️ History

San Sebastián was founded in 1752 by Captain Cristóbal González de la Cruz, who among other residents had a Royal Decree to create the town. The town was originally named San Sebastián de las Vegas del Pepino but was later shortened to San Sebastián. The town has a rich history in agriculture, particularly in the cultivation of coffee, tobacco, and fruits.
